Customer Cloud has announced the “AI Production Factory (CC AI Factory),” a new infrastructure that fundamentally resolves the “structural challenges” in how Japanese companies use AI. While AI adoption in Japan is said to lag well behind that of other major countries, the company points out that “the problem was not a lack of technology, but the absence of a mechanism for turning AI results into businesses.”*1
An infrastructure that integrates everything from AI development to commercialization
The “AI Production Factory” is a new type of infrastructure that integrates AI development, operation, and commercialization into a single, consistent line. Built in the AWS Japan region, it meets financial-institution-level security requirements and also features “a multi-layered defense structure designed with ransomware attacks in mind.” Through its proprietary AGI technology, it aims for a significant improvement in productivity over conventional approaches.
Three values: product lines, templates, and business lanes
The platform’s value comes down to three points: first, a mass-production system built on “turning AI into product lines”; second, “AI templates that deliver immediate results,” adapted to the business culture of Japanese companies; and third, a “business lane structure” through which companies, engineers, and investors can all benefit at the same time. Engineers are freed from building infrastructure and from sales, enabling a business model in which they can offer the AI they create on a subscription basis or pursue an exit.
A mechanism for turning AI results into businesses
did not yet exist in Japan.
For global expansion, the company is working with AI communities and top engineer networks around the world through its CC Media division, building “a structure that assumes the global market from the outset.” Stating that a structural transformation of the industry as a whole is essential, the company positions the AI Production Factory as the core mechanism of that transformation and has set the goal of realizing “Bit Valley 2.0.”
